Mamay Group is a diversified enterprise with interests in agriculture technology, cosmetics, exports (food & spice), pharmaceuticals and more. The company is active in retailing and wholesaling globally-sourced products while serving domestic and international markets.
My Role
Lead UI/UX Designer for the website redesign and e-commerce implementation
Responsible for mapping user journeys (buyers, retailers, exporters), designing interface architecture, visual styling, responsive layouts
Worked closely with Mamay Group’s marketing and product departments to ensure brand alignment, international appeal, and usability across categories.
Design Objective & Design Approach
Design Objective
To craft an e-commerce interface that cleanly presents a broad and varied product portfolio—from agricultural machines to cosmetics and food exports—while maintaining a cohesive brand identity. The design needed to enable efficient product discovery and decision making for different user types, across devices, and to match the organization’s global scope and high-quality positioning.
Design Approach
Applied a modular, category-centric grid layout to accommodate diverse product groups (agro-machinery, cosmetics, food exports, pharmaceuticals).
Utilised bold imagery, clean typography, and consistent spacing to provide visual clarity across different product types and avoid visual clutter.
Ensured responsive design, with a seamless mobile and desktop experience, given the international user base.
Included intuitive navigation (clear menu structure, filtering by category/type), streamlined conversion pathways (product listings → details → contact/purchase).
Aligned visual style with the brand’s authoritative, global-business tone—ratified via brand colour cues, professional imagery, and a polished UI.
Design Highlights
A homepage hero section showing the company’s multi-sector reach (agriculture, cosmetics, exports) which immediately communicates scale and diversity.
Clearly separated product category modules (“Agriculture Technologies”, “Cosmetics Import”, “Food & Spice Exports”) for easy navigation and emphasis.
Filterable product listings with thumbnail images and concise metadata to accelerate user decision-making.
Consistent use of high-quality imagery and spacious card layouts to address the wide range of products and maintain visual harmony.
Mobile navigation optimized for international users, with minimal steps to locate product info or contact the company.
